I’ve talked about creating a blog to help keep my thoughts and adventures in order, as well as create a way to keep friends and family up to date with what I am up to while I am traveling. Today is the day I (finally) make the leap into blogger status! I am not a much of writer, in fact, the only writing I have done in the past 7 years or so has been the daily journal I keep while I’m traveling.
Prior to my departure from Ohio this past July, I made the decision to refrain from setting a specific route. Simply because I do not like setting plans too far in advance. This allows me to keep my options open to anything fun, exciting, or just plain strange that may come up along the way. I can then easily jump on board without having to worry about breaking prior plans. Now, this may not always work in my favor, but so far I can’t complain.
Though I am now approaching my second month on this trip, the following posts will be from the onset of my decision to take an extended road trip, thus including my pre-trip preparations. In retrospect, I should have started this blog long before I left, but oh well. No better time than the present!
For those that do not know what I am even rambling on about, I am driving around the western part of the United States with my travel companion, Storm. Along the way, we are camping, couchsurfing, wwoofing, and staying at the occasional motel.
